Look at these beautiful herbs. Breathe them in.... As if a 3500 square foot garden weren't enough, this year both my parents thought it would be cool to build a small herb garden really close to the cabin. One where we can pop outside quick, cut some herbs, run back inside and - voila - awesome-herby-goodness.
These Jer-Bear did not grow from seed, but picked them up at Gerten's and plopped them into this small little garden. Simple, and lovely. And already smelling good.
In it are two varieties of thyme, two of rosemary, tarragon, lavender, chives, basil, cilantro, parsley, sage, curry... Simon and Garfunkel and a whole bunch more. Ha ha. There are some repeats in the big garden (basil and cilantro, for sure), but having them close will be great for Cath, the cook. And for those of us who benefit from her cooking!
