It's Friday! And the Olympics are still on. In Russia! My kids and hubby and I are kind of obsessed. Slope Style! Skeleton! Figure Skating! Snowboarding! I heart the Olympics. To honor both of those things, I decided to make myself one of these:
Have you ever heard of these? I hadn't, until about 6 months ago - and in that time this yummy little cocktail has become one of my faves. My friend Kris introduced this to me... and normally, I would pass on anything with Ginger Beer... But, ya know what? This bubbly and kind of sweet and dangerously awesome drink is a great way to kick off the weekend... or for later in the weekend?... or to relax after a tough day? Yeah.
Why is it called a Moscow Mule? I honestly don't know, except that there's vodka in it. Vodka = Russian. Moscow is a city in Russia. HEY! I KNOW A FEW THINGS! That is all I can give you on this one, peeps.
AND! If you have Ginger Beer, you probably have the other two ingredients (yes, it's that simple) on hand. Which makes it especially great. And I know that there's not any gardening goodies in this drink, but I couldn't help it! Russia! Moscow! GO USA! GO THE WHOLE WORLD! I love the Olympics.
So, get yerself a Moscow Mule and watch some Olympics, people.
